About the Artist

Landscape jewelry inspired by America's state parks. Each jewelry piece is inspired by a specific place, some easily recognizable as such and some more generic, such as a hiking trail. But that trail and that placement of trees does exist. I work from my own photos and recreate the image in silver and inlay gemstones to "paint" in the details.

"Forest reclaim" is inspired by a trip to Rose Island at Charlestown State Park in Charleston, Indiana. Rose Island was an amusement park in the early 1900s that was abandon and the forest has regrown over much of it. This particular tree caught my eye because I liked the shape of how it seemed to be reaching to the ground as if to say "this land is mine." The arched gate is iconic Charlestown State Park, as it's one of few features left standing from the amusement park.

I tell stories of places through my jewelry and hope it inspires others to get outside and explore our public lands. I focus on our state parks because they're more accessible for everyone.
