Join Tephra ICA for a special Art After Hours featuring Next Stop Theatre Company performing excerpts from Dream Hou$e in response to the current exhibition A Land and 河/River. Dream Hou$e, playing at Next Stop Theatre September 11–October 5, is a crowd-pleasing comedy with a twist that asks: What is the cultural cost of progress in America? Two Latina sisters are appearing on an HGTV-style reality show to sell their family home, hoping to capitalize on the gentrification in their “changing neighborhood.” Director Dylan Arredondo and cast members will present scenes from the play that further the conversation on how our sense of self is tied to place.
Food and drinks for this program is generously proved by Open Road.
The gallery entrance is located on St. Francis St. between Market St. and Town Square St. Parking is free at Reston Town Center garages after 5pm. The gallery is accessible from the Metro Silver Line Reston Town Center station.
