Biography

Decatur, GA

During my childhood, my family moved to Nigeria, Africa for my father's work. Growing up there gave me a great appreciation for animals wild and domestic. This love of animals has been the focus of my vibrant pop art paintings over all of my career. My art combines the love of the mysterious personalities of animals and nostalgia for 60s and 70s design. This influence can especially seen in my current large wild cat species paintings like "Mayan God". In creating my art, I use a mix of acrylics, spray paint, pigment powders, graphite, ink, and sometimes gold leaf. What gives my art a unique feel, is that I incorporate painterly and hard edge techniques. I use vibrant bold colors and distinctive lines to give my art a modern pop art look.
