My artistic journey started in 1995 in Laguna Beach, California. That is when I painted my first Plein Air oil painting along the beautiful Laguna coastline. I continued painting the amazing Southern California landscape and was soon showing my work in a local gallery.
The excitement of capturing coastal scenes and the rolling hills of California quickly turned into a lifelong passion. In 2003 I relocated to the east coast and my artistic journey started to include outdoor art festivals. Constantly looking for new vistas to paint led to an opportunity to teach a plein air painting workshop in Ireland. This was the beginning of yearly trips to Europe to teach. This allowed my work and subject matter to expand and grow in so many ways as I painted the villages and landscapes of France, Spain and Italy.
My work reflects my travel experiences as seen in the paint “Tuscany”. Many of my paintings reflect my travels as well as domestic landscapes throughout the US.
