My artistic journey is driven by the profound connection between humanity and nature, with a particular focus on birds. Through my art, I celebrate this inherent bond. Each watercolor piece is unique, beginning with a fluid wet-on-wet base and building up with refining layers. This technique allows the bird's distinctive personality to emerge naturally, without the constraints of pre-drawn sketches. The process honors the spirit and essence of these magnificent creatures. "Ascend" captures this beautifully. The Feeling of looseness and movement of the cranes as they move up the page. Grounded in just enough refinement to give them a familiar form. They are connected, strung together through spontaneous marks and drips and deliberate, long, sweeping brushstrokes. They are subtly connected to the three cranes, while allowing them to rise in unison.
