Biography

Ballston Lake, NY

In 1980 my mother purchased an instructional book in basketry, and wanted me to weave a waste paper basket for the bathroom.

That book and request altered the rest of my life. I learned basic basketry techniques and began to my journey of weaving. After a few years of using traditional materials for my work I began to explore new materials and applying them to more contemporary designs. I now work with aluminum and weave all my with it.

My vessels have timeless vase shapes and contemporary geometric forms. The colors in many of my pieces are inspired with the colors in see in nature. From the greens and earthtone found in a forest to the blues and greys of an ocean sunset.
