About the Artist
I come from a family of artists and craftsmen that showed me the beauty of watercolors to the precision of woodworking. I pursue the technique of handbag design and continuously learning the art of wearable fiber. After graduating with a B.A. from The Ohio State University, the art show world opened its doors to me. I have been published in newspapers, received awards at shows & have given talks about the industry. Throughout my 18 years as a full time artist, many artists from across the country have been invaluable mentors.
When it comes to beauty, quality is everything. Each handbag is created from the finest suede, brocade, faux fur, silk, vintage fabric, feather, fringe & beaded trim from around the world. Additionally, I design my own custom fabric which allows the creative process to be ever more unique. Combination of color and texture gives each piece an edgy style. After design layout and patterns are drafted, pieces are hand cut, layered with interfacing for structure and then constructed with impeccable craftsmanship.
I would like the reference the breathe of my handbag work with the Origami Backpack & Peacock Clutch. The Origami Backpack is a true every day bag. Its functional & extremely durable. The Peacock Clutch is an evening bag. Take this beauty out to a special event & be the talk of the town. The marriage between the two bags is their unique, rich color & interesting design. It's my passion to create a handbag that is a piece of art you wear, while holding up to the test of time.
