About the Artist
Since 1986, I have been handcrafting my line of nature-inspired, pewter jewelry. I draw my inspiration from my Italian heritage and my love of antiques and anything vintage, my travels abroad, and time spent in the garden. After graduating with a degree in fine arts and studying in Florence, Italy, I started my jewelry business. It has always been a family business, as my children grew up in my business and through the years have participated in some way. In 2019, we moved our studio to our home after many years of having a studio space in an old machine shop. I decided to set up a studio in my home as I was taking care of her elderly father at the time, and then COVID hit. It was definitely a blessing or Divine intervention that I made this decision! I was able to continue to working online and rely on my customer list. Each design is handcrafted in my studio. First, a model is sculpted and cast in pewter. The various elements are soldered and finished to create multi layered botanical inspired work. Semi precious stones, vintage glass, enamel work, and crystals are used to create unique and beautiful combinations of colors. Much attention is paid to detail, turn a piece over you’ll find a bee, bird, or flower, or perhaps a pair of hands or a bird nest as closures. All of these original features bring people joy and are often considered timeless collectibles by my customers.. Lives and woks in Baltimore, MD.
