Painting, for me, is both expression and release. My journey has spanned moments of light and darkness, and each experience finds its echo on the canvas. Through color and abstraction, I transform pain into hope, reflecting the resilience of the human spirit. I believe sadness is never permanent; art reminds me that renewal is always possible. Every brushstroke becomes an act of healing, a celebration of life’s enduring capacity for joy.
My creative process begins with mark-making, writing, and drawing to build an emotional foundation. I layer acrylics, oils, and collage materials such as jute twine, sand, and scrap paper, often experimenting with everyday textures like mesh produce bags to evoke depth and movement.
In “Renaissance of a Dream,” I used jute twine to create movement across the canvas, ribbon to symbolize a window to new hope, and textured collage to represent the beauty of rebirth. The five butterflies painted in hues of yellow, orange, and pink embody transformation and joy, while the harmonious palette of blues, purples, and browns speaks to emotional balance. This painting reflects the belief that forgotten dreams can be reborn; reminding us that from pain emerges beauty, and from hope, renewal.
