Shaped by years of international experiences, my jewelry reflects a blend of simple elegance, rich color, tactile texture, and, for one collection in particular, a touch of humor in my whimsical figures. Each piece comes to life in its own way: sometimes sparked by a form in nature, other times by a sudden vision in my imagination, or an innate appeal to various animals that I want to create in jewelry form. And often, as I work in my studio, a design will spontaneously emerge in my hands, evolving into something unexpected and uniquely expressive.
The octopus seen in one of the attached image, is an example of one of my whimsical figures. I was inspired to create an octopus after watching the 2020 documentary, My Octopus Teacher.
