About the Artist
Sculptural Body Adornments ~ Timeless Aesthetic The technical challenge of utilizing seemingly disparate and juxtaposed textures and colors to create tension, contrast and a visual focal point is a primary aesthetic that inspires the direction of my jewelry making. Through the transparency of the process, I seek to work in tandem with my materials evoking forms that are at once surprising yet familiar; rustic yet refined; always functionally appropriate for wearable jewelry. Referencing image #1, one may see the interplay of classical form yet with a modernist sensibility. Rather than simply tapering the tip of the “tail” the form morphs from round to square resolving as round. The maker's mark remains as a testament to the transparency of the process. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, hand fabricated from all recycled metals. No new silver or gold mining. Gemstones are certified conflict-free and diamonds Kimberly Process certified. Lives and works in Corrales, NM.
