About the Artist

I am a self-taught artist originating from South Korea. From a young age, I learned traditional Oriental watercolor brush paintings. Until I came over to the United States in 1993, I worked at Red Cross, while teaching brush strokes to students in the evenings. Once in the U.S., I had a private school where I taught brush strokes as well while also learning about western art techniques. With experience in both western and eastern art skills, I have combined them with my own style of painting. Most of the time, I try to draw paintings from my mind and imagination, rather than from photos. I want to express my inner feelings of peace, serenity, and love in my paintings to share with others. Rather than expressing complex emotions, I want people to feel peacefulness, something they can always look at, and have peace and calm Lives and works in Baldwinville, MA.
