About the Artist
My father was a professional glassblower my entire life, and after his passing, I have inherited his studio. I am a second-generation glassblower. I carry on the traditional family style of glass blowing that I have always participated in, and consider it part of my DNA. While my work has a family resemblance to my father, I have focused on developing new unique forms. All of my work is conceived in my mind, and then directly expressed in glass. I feel my work is very direct but tends to ask more questions than provide answers. In my Ancestor Series, I look to create a reminiscence of the human form, while at the same time leaving that interpretation up to the viewer. I view the series as an abstract blown sculpture, rather than a vessel or object. Lives and works in Mt. Vernon, OH.
