Biography

Boca Raton, FL

At 18, while living and studying in Italy, I discovered the spark that would guide my life’s work—an enduring love of fashion, pattern, color, and craftsmanship. More than two decades later, I remain immersed in that world, working primarily with silk and exploring its beauty through color with serigraphy (silk-screen printmaking).

My journey into printmaking began with a desire to transform plain white silk into unique works of art. This passion led me to London, where I studied the intricacies of silk-screening on textiles.

Living and traveling across the U.S., Europe, Asia, and the South Pacific, I became captivated by the diverse designs and imagery found in fabrics around the world. The timeless elegance of Japanese art, in particular, continues to shape my approach to design and composition.

What I love most about silk and silk-screening is the endless possibility—from infinite color combinations to the luxurious feel of the fabric itself. My work has taken me to some of the best art festivals in the country, where I’ve been honored with awards and constant inspiration. Each year, with every new collection, I strive to push the boundaries of silk-screening, color, and imagery to create clothing that is not only wearable but art.

I primarily create one-size-fits-all wrap skirts—pieces that literally anybody can wear. Each print is either one -of- a- kind or part of a very limited edition (no more than five skirts per print), making every piece truly special. I work with non - toxic silk & metal dyes and I create two new print designs each year. The wraps are cut on the bias for a beautiful drape on every body type, and each piece is easy to care for—washable in cold water.

I create my work to express the experiences I've gained from living, studying, and traveling around the world — and the distinctive techniques I've learned along the way.

Now living in South Florida, I was inspired by the peacocks that roam freely in certain neighborhoods. I photographed one, deconstructed the image with thousands of colors into seven for silkscreen layers, and used metallic silk dyes to highlight the golden feathers and rich hues of the background. Each of my dozens of prints I've created over two and half decades has a story, whether it's the peacock or the Japanese chrysanthemums, or the Hawaiian Waves, they're all a part of my life, and I bring them to life with my wearable art.
