About the Artist
My creative process is bound to my pen or pencil on paper and my conceptualization of social and environmental issues through the use of symbolic images. I use line and value to organize the positive and negative space of my composition as a means to tell the story I want to tell. As an artist, I am a social critic. The drawing "Unraveled" emerged as a response to current racial issues that seem to have unraveled the progress made over the last few decades. Much of my art represents humanity's relationship to nature as seen in "Ideology" and "Tattered". The drawing "Wormwood" is a new series I call "Star Dust" in which I'm exploring the idea of how human beings socially construct reality. Lives and works in Corbin, KY.
