About the Artist
One of my favorite aspects of creation is the way in which it allows me to take from the beauties of every season. As the season's change and with them the colors and shapes of our world, I am inspired by the natural joy of color pallets. In the piece Forest Blossom, I was inspired by the colors in a forest while on a hike. The early spring blossoms of flowers peeking through the greens and browns of the leaves and golden rays of the sun inspired me to delicately paint hand-carved wooden flowers and piece them together in a three-dimensional shape. I finished by shaping a wooden handcrafted frame and piecing it together to finish off the celebratory piece.
